New this year-Festive Fun on Loch Tay safaris
Skim over the water of Loch Tay onboard our cosy heated cabin RIB. Make magical moments surrounded by stunning and dramatic landscapes in an area steeped in history and mythical folklore.

Festive Cruises are running Christmas and New Year between the 23rd of December and the 4th of January (closed 25th and 26th December).

Summer Watch Safaris: No Question – Memories to last a Lifetime!

Summer has arrived – yes it really has! The upland moors are alive with activity; the heathers are starting to flower turn a vibrant purple, Red Grouse have hatched their chicks, our moors reverberate with the humming of Bees and the elusive Mountain Hare now matches the grey of the rocks. Nature working it’s magic.

The sunsets are glorious; on a clear evening the majestic mountainous backdrop are framed in the distance. All of this means that it is time to launch our Summer Watch Safaris.

Nothing compares to the beauty, the peace and the tranquillity of our hills and glens as the light fades offering amazing photo opportunities and the chance to see some stunning wildlife. Enjoy chilled wine or craft beer high in the hills or a hot drink and local shortbread if you’d prefer with the serenity and sheer magnificence of this vista. This will all become an everlasting memory.

Our Summer Watch Safaris depart at 1630hrs and including refreshments; the perfect pre-dinner adventure.

Spring Into Action!

Spring is here and suddenly we are all raring to go! No? Well with the trees are turning lush green, the Red Squirrels are darting about and the skies are beginning to fill with Swallows. It is all happening in the natural world and Highland Safaris love launching their Spring Watch Safaris.

Every Safari up the mountains seems to reveal something new, a couple of weeks ago the stags cast their antlers, the week after that purple saxifrage broke through the tundra and last week we were amazed by meadows awash with bluebells. Spring really is a time for freshness and new things and we at Highland Safaris love sharing these amazing discoveries with everybody who comes and visits us.

Spring Watch Safaris really are the best way to experience spring in all its glory. An early departure in a Land Rover ensures you witness the majestic dawn chorus, catching Highland Perthshire’s nature as it wakes up for the day, soaking up the beautiful vistas offered up by the mountains! After your Safari what better way to round off the experience than a fresh homemade breakfast and Glen Lyon coffee back at Highland Safaris Cafe? Unwind in our warm and cosy café and regale us with stories of you early morning adventure.
